Two Scholars Under a Tree Figurine

This is a porcelain figurine made by Royal Vienna around 1760. It is of two guys under a tree on a base covered with grass. Both of them have scrolls in their hands and books by their feet or side. Most of it looks like Math problems on them. Kind of neat :) The figurine is 10.5 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. It is in super condition considering the age and the fragile nature of it. The part of one foot and the complete other foot restored as well as parts of his hands. The other putti might be missing something in his right hand but I am unsure. The tree has been worked on but it looks like just the tip has been off. Amazingly the total tree is still there. The leaves have chips and have been overpainted at some point. There are still a good amount of perfect leaves which makes the chips less obvious. All in all the piece is in super display condition and looks great! The figurine is marked underneath as shown with an underglaze early beehive mark as well as an impressed Q. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $2999
