Volkstedt Bowl

This is a bowl made by Volkstedt around 1760. It is handpainted with a nice design of orange flowers, yellow ground around the rim ending with a puce scrollwork on the bottom end and an orange brown trim on the rim. There are four orange flower designs and one to the bottom inside. Typical ribbed design to the paste. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed pitchforks. The bowl is in great condition with no chips, etc but it has a bit of wear to the inside only from use which is to be expected. The bowl is 3 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter.
