Volkstedt Lady Figurine

This is a figurine made by Volkstedt in the 20th century. Volkstedt was founded in 1762 and is one of the few makers of the Thuringia region that are still around today. This figurine is of a lady selling or collecting flowers. Looks a bit like a Gypsy but that could just be coincidence. Nicely modeled with lots of details and hand painted. I normally prefer the 18th century pieces but this one is nicely done as well! The figure is in perfect condition. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue monogram under a crown mark as well as an imrpessed number. The figurine is 5.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
