Volkstedt Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a great cup and saucer made by Volkstedt around 1770. Both pieces are handpainted with a great floral arrangement surrounded by a puce trim held up with a bow with some flowers along the sides and smaller flowers on the rim of the saucer and sides of the cup. A leaf on the inside bottom of the cup. Gold trim to the edges. Both have the ribbed design to the paste very common in the Thuringia area makers though the one on the inside cup is quite faint. The set is in great condition but sadly the handle of the cup has been off and put back on. Displays very well! Both pieces are marked underneath with the crossed hayforks with a line across the center in blue and both pieces have some sort of impressed circular mark. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
