Volkstedt Polychrome Floral Coffee Pot

This is a nice early large coffee pot with its lid made by Volkstedt around 1760. The pot is hand painted with a nice polychrome floral arrangement to the front and the back side with some scattered small flowers in between. The lid has a larger floral arrangement to it as well as three small flowers and a nice fruit finial. The handle and spout have a nice shape to them with some puce highlights to the handleand a flower to the front of the spout. A really nice pot from their early days. The piece displays perfectly with just some very minor wear but upon very close inspection one sees that the handle has a hairline to the bottom terminal as well as along the top part and was most likely off and perfectly repaired. It's strong and virtually invisible! iThe pot is marked underneath with the crossed hayforks mark which was meant to look like crossed swords. It is about 10.5 inches tall including the lid, 7.75 inches from handle to spout tip and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
