Volkstedt Strawflower Coffee Pot

This is a coffee pot made by Volkstedt around 1770. It is handpainted with an underglaze blue strawflower design and has the typical ribbed design to the paste be it less obvious than other pieces I own. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed pitchforks that are already very similar to the Meissen crossed swords which is why they complained about them in 1772 and they were discontinued. The coffee pot is in superb condition with two very very small rim chips that are mostly the glaze only. The piece is 9.5 inches tall, 6 inches long and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
