Superb Volkstedt Wastebowl

This is a top notch (actually the nicest piece of Volkstedt I have ever seen) slop or waste bowl made by Volkstedt around 1760. It is handpainted on one side with an owl on a tree stump, the other side with a magpie on a tree stump, in between there are two floral arrangements and on the inside is another flower. Typical ribbed design to the paste on the inside of the bowl. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed pitchforks. The bowl is in perfect condition with no chips, hairlines, etc. but the inside flower has a tiny bit of wear to it. The bowl is 3.125 inches tall and 6.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $1249
