Wallendorf Cornucopia Single Cup #1

This is a nice single cup made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a nice design of a cornucopia filled with flowers, a golden garland around the top edge all around as well as two single flowers filling in ther est of the space. Another single flower to the bottom inside. Nice ribbed design to the paste itself on inside which is quite typical of this maker! No handle so this is a Koeppchen style cup. The piece is in great condition with a firing line to the inside edge only, a short tight hairline from the top edge and a few minor firings flaws in the form of tiny black spots common to their early wares. A very nice example! The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.Marked underneath with their under glaze blue W mark as shown as well as an impressed letter L.
