Wallendorf Cornucopia Cup & Saucer #3

This is a really fun cup and saucer set made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a nice design of a cornucopia / horn of plenty filled with flowers, a golden garland around the top edge all around as well as two single flowers filling in the rest of the space. Another single flower to the bottom inside of the cup. Nice ribbed design to the paste itself on inside of both pieces which is quite typical of this maker! No handle so this is a Koeppchen / teabowl style cup. The set is in superb condition with just a few minor firings flaws in the form of tiny black spots common to their early wares and a few small scratches from use and a really tiny chip (and I mean nibble size) to the saucers very edge but it is still a very nice example! The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall with a diameter of 5.25 inches. Both are marked underneath with their under glaze blue W mark as shown as well as an impressed letter L. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $299
