Wallendorf Letter M Pot

This is a small lidded pot (likely from a Solitaire) made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. This pot has the typical ribbed design to the paste of the Thuringia region and is handpainted with a letter M on both sides and the lid surrounded by a puce trim with a ring of polychrome flowers around that. Nice trim to the handle and spout as well as the finial of the lid. The pot is in great condition with just a bit of flaking to the enamels - no chips, etc. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue W mark as shown. The pot and lid are 5.375 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. Please e-mail me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
