Wallendorf Red Rose Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with the Ostfriesen design called " Rot Dresmer " or Ostfriesische Rose made up of roses in pink, another flower in orange and yellow as well as some green leaf work. Very typical design for Wallendorf. The porcelain itself has a ribbed design to it typical to Thuringia makers of this period. The cup is in perfect condition with a stray spot of green paint to the inside edge and the saucer has some wear to the design from age and some green paint spots that have flaked off which is a common issue with that color plus a hairline as shown which is mainly visibly to the underside and contained by the foot ring so it won't grow anymore. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is unmarked but the cup has the pink W mark as shown.
