Wallendorf Rare Shaped Teapot

This is a fantastic tea pot made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. This is an extremely rare shape - I have only seen one other one before! This piece is nicely hand painted with with a nice design of two doves flying on a cloud made up of smoke from two burning hearts on a pedestal. One scene states "Eternal love (Ewige Liebe) " written on the altar front and the other side "and friendship (und Freundschaft)". Nice gold trim around the shoulder part and puce trim to the fun handle attached with fake porcelain screws. Typical around the late 18th century. Flowers to both sides of the altar. The piece is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gilding near the spout side and off course the lid is missing but that should be fixable. There is a replacement lid that comes with it and it works but obviously not the correct one. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue W mark as shown. The pot is 4.375 inches tall (without the lid), 6.25 inches from handle to spout and 3.5 inches in diameter. The outer diameter of the top opening is 2 inches.
