Wegely Creme Pot

This is an extremely rare creme-pot made by Wegely Berlin ( predecessor of KPM ) around 1755. The shape copied directly from a Meissen example but decorated with an underglaze blue strawflower pattern which is quite nice. I considered it being Wallendorf but the paste doesn't fit and this shape isn't known by them as far as I know. These pots are also always very early and weren't really used later in the 18th century anymore. Cute shape with a fancy handle and three feet. The lid I do not believe is original to the piece though I might be wrong. It fits into the top opening but not perfectly flat and wobbles because it hits the two sides a bit. The ring of the lid is also much smaller than the opening. I suspect it is a sugar dish lid possibly from Meissen as it has the numer 2 impressed on the underside rim. Displays perfectly together so it works :) The piece is otherwise in good condition. The cream pot has some taining to the inside as shown and some wear marks and the lid finial has two chips to it as shown. No other issues. Really a stunning piece! The pot is 5 inches tall, 6.5 inches from handle to spout and 4.25 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue W mark in the center as well as a blue number 2 or such toward one side. No impressed numbers except for the one under the lid. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
