Whieldon Teapot

Whieldon Period Creamware Miniature Teapot with Solid Arching Handle. A delightful creamware teapot of small size in a rare form, mottled with manganese glaze drops in the Whieldon style, dating from about 1775. One cannot pick it up without feeling that a measure of politeness has finally returned to the world. Standing only about 5 inches high, it had has expert repairs to the handle and the rim of the pot. Displays as perfect. This is a piece owned by a good friend of mine.
