Large 18thC Compote Dish

This is a very rare serving dish / compote made by Worcester in the 18th century around 1770. I have never come across a large piece like this in this sort of design. A rare survivor for sure! It is handpainted on the top inside with a nice polychrome floral arrangement in the center, a cobalt blue ground colored rim with and amazing gold trim around the center well plus four gold flowers. The top edge has a relief design to it highlighted with gilding. The outside rim has the same blue ground color to it with a simplet gold trim to the bottom edge of the blue colored area. Four purple flower designs and a relief design to the bottom edge of the foot plus gold trim around the bottom edge. A really nice looking piece and a superb example of Worcester porcelain of the 18th century. Amazingly the piece is in superb condition with one small chip to the top inside edge colored in with gold to hide it perfectly plus what looks like a popped glaze bubble to the clear glaze of the underside near where the foot starts as shown. A stray gold line and some of the usual flaws of a piece this old but virtually no wear to the gilding or any other obvious flaw so it looks amazing and displays perfectly! The dish is marked with the under glaze blue crescent mark underneath as shown. The piece is 3.75 inches tall, 11.875 inches wide and 9.75 inches deep.
