Superb Small Reticulated Saucer

This is a superb reticulated saucer made by Worcester in the mid 19th century. I am unsure as to the exact date as it neither has a crown above it nor any date code or impressed marks. So if anyone out there has a clue as to why a quick note would be appreciated. It might be a very early George Owen piece who off course is quite famous for these types of reticulated / pierced pieces. The saucer has two reticulated sections along the rim with a superb bird scene and a superb fruit scene in between these sections. The center has a floral wreath with bows to it and there is some gold trim along the rim and going into the well of the dish. This blue lines along the reticulated sections. A very delicate design and the hand painting is top notch! I have never come across this nice a design on one of these saucers! The saucer is in great condition with a minor touch of wear to the gilding along the edge and some fine crazing in areas of the white parts. It displays perfectly - jsut looking for its cup now :) The saucer is just over 0.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 4.125 inches in diameter. Quite tiny and delicate! The saucer is marked with the circular Worcester mark with the number 51 inside but no crown or date code at all. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
