Early Ming Chinoiserie Plate

This is a rare plate made by Herend during their early year. A rare antique example of one of their best patterns. This is when they made their best stuff. It is one of the Herend Chinoiserie designs (copying Chinese and Japanese motives) called the Ming pattern which I think is one of their nicest. The piece is superbly hand painted with a lady sitting on a bench with some nice vases and a table by her side with two children playing and two rabbits running around in front of her. The rim has a superb red and gold design to it with the area in between painted with rabbits, flowers, and cherries. The colors are thick enamels which are raised off the porcelain itself. Just amazing. The porcelain is super thin and delicate. Even underneath the plate there are flowers painted in blue along the rim area. The plate is marked with their blue shield mark as well as the letter S and the word Herend impressed as shown. The plate is in perfect condition and is 0.75 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter.
