Hungarian

Hungarian porcelain wasn't really a big player in the 18th century thus I was never too interested in them. But... I do like some of their pieces. There was one maker that was founded in the 18th century called Bathyany but it was closed quickly and I have never seen anything made by them. In 1830 the Regec factory was openend but I have never seen anything made by them either. Now to the stuff we all know - Herend was founded in 1839 by Moritz Fischer. They made some super porcelain early on and are still making some pretty high quality porcelain today. Then there is the Zsolnay factory founded in 1853. They are most famous for their irridescent green color glaze which I happen to like.
