1856 Hunting Cup & Saucer

This is an amazing cup and saucer made by Herend around 1856. This is the best example I have seen for sale and belongs in a museum. The cup and saucer are handpainted with a hunting scene in the Meissen style with two hunters and their horns on the saucer and two bears in a landscape on the cup. Likely a replacement for a broken Meissen cup from 100 years earlier which is what Herend did amazingly well! Lots of superb flowers scattered throughout and a nice gold trim. Great handle shape as well. If you didn't know any better you'd think this is Meissen from the mid 18th century :) Even has flowers on the underside of the saucer. Both pieces are marked as shown with the saucer also having the impressed HEREND mark and the year mark of 1856. The cup has a mark I have not seen before! It is an impressed FH . The set is in perfect condition. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
