Early Ming Chinoiserie Plate #2

This is a rare plate made by Herend during their early year. A rare antique example of one of their best patterns. This is when they made their best stuff. It is one of the Herend Chinoiserie designs (copying Chinese and Japanese motives) called the Ming pattern which I think is one of their nicest. The piece is superbly hand painted with a lady sitting on a bench with some nice vases and tables by her side with two children playing in front of her and some rabbits running around in front of her. The rim has a superb red and gold design to it with more rabbits as well as fruit and bowls along the rim as well. The colors are thick enamels which are raised off the porcelain itself which I tried to show in some of the photos. Just amazing. The porcelain is quite thin and delicate. Even underneath the plate there are flowers painted in blue along the rim area. The plate had a mark which was ground off - not sure why. Either someone tried to make the set older than it is or tried to sell it as Asian porcelain. Not sure but it is definitely an antique plate (over 100 years old) by Herend which is not easy to find at all and the pattern is discontinued so there won't be any more of them either :) The plate is in perfect condition and is 0.75 inches tall and 8.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
