Herend 20Pc. Poisson Set

This is a rare antique 23 piece porcelain teaset made by Herend in the early 20 th century. It is handpainted with a design called Poisson (fish) including different color fish as well as seaweed and flowers plus a nice blue and gold trim. The background color is a light blue which is superb and my favorite part is that the handles and spouts are in the form of little mandarin chinese guys. This set is amazingly detailed all around even with the reticulated footrings and lid rims. The pieces are in superb condition. The creamer is 2.375 inches tall, 5.125 inches long and 3.75 inches wide. The cups are 2.25 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter and eggshell thin! The saucers are 1.25 inches tall and 5.75 inches in diameter. The plates are 0.875 inches tall and 7.875 inches in diameter. The sugar dish is 5 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 5.375 inches in diameter and the teapot is 6.75 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter without the handle and spout. Now to the mystery part. A lot of the pieces are different shades of blue for the background with the cups beings very light blue and the plates and creamer a darker blue. The cups have the shield mark, impressed Herend mark and the date of 1909 on them but the other pieces just have the impressed HEREND mark and the shield mark without a date code. Not sure if these were originally together and which pieces would be older but they fits together superbly and are a full set. The sugar has an underglaze shield mark while the others are overglaze. Some pieces have an impressed number underneath as well and the chinese guys have yellow pants on the cups and red ones on the rest of the set. Maybe someone a long time ago bought them at different times or replaced pieces? Either way they are all old pieces and just amazing! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
