Herend Reticulated Dish

This is a reticulated dish made by Herend in about 1862. It is small with reticulated sides that are painted with the O'Sullivan pattern. It is painted with different colors on all four insides sides with small flowers in between. The bottom inside has two superb chinoiserie scenes handpainted on it with a neat design in between them. There is a gold trim to the edge and black outlines to the outside around every single cutout! Lot of work went into this little treasure. The dish is in perfect condition and marked underneath with the black number 1862. which is probably the year it was made (it certainly fits the style and quality and other age signs). The dish is 1.25 inches tall, 4.125 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. As for the use of this thing - no idea except maybe for gambling tokens. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
