Herend Reticulated Vase

This is a really nice early reticulated vase made by Herend in the mid 19th century. These early pieces by them are very hard to find and the quality is absolutely amamzing. More often than not it is based on the top German maker and matches them in terms of quality. The vase is double walled with the outside wall being reticualted and the inside wall solid so it can be used properly. It is hand painted all around the outside with a design based on the Tischchenmuster with the cobalt blue table with gold highlights and Kakiemon flowers in polychrome. Nice iron red and gold trim along the bottom edge and gold line around the top. The vase is in great condition! The inside top edge is unglazed so it might have had a lid at one point. Not sure. There is a very minor touch of wear and a small chip to the foot ring as shown which does not affect the piece when on display! It looks stunning and is unlike any other piece by any maker in terms of design. They truly did some amazing work early on! The vase is marked underneath with the blue shield mark as well as a letter S. It all looks a little funny since they painted them over factory repairs for cracks in the underside but it's all correct! The piece is 6.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter.
