Tata Capodimonte Pot

This is a fun coffee pot made by Tata in the 19th century. This factory in Tata was only a decorating studio that painted Herend blanks and some Czech blanks as well. It was founded by Desider Fischer. The pot is nicely handpainted on a relief scene with what most people refer to the Capodimonte style. Lots of detail and nice colors. It has a branch handle and spout with another scene on the front. The lid has a pear finial and a similar deisgn to that on the top of the pot. The coffee pot is marked underneath with Herend-like shield mark with the letter T underneath and the monogram DF. to the side for his initals I guess so it might have been painted by the founder which would be very neat. The piece sadly has seen better days as there is a large section on the top rim that was broken and reglued but all the pieces are there and it would be an easy fix for a good restorer and not expesnvie either. Thre are four pieces in this broken section. A bit of gold wear as well. It displays fine and is a rare learning example either way! The piece is 10 inches tall, 8 inches from spout to handle and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
