Tata Serving Dish

This is a serving dish made by Tata in the 19th century. This factory in Tata was only a decorating studio that painted Herend blanks and some Czech blanks as well. It was founded by Desider Fischer. The dish is nicely handpainted with a scene of a lady in a landscape surrounding in the center of the dish. There are also three flowers and a nice fishscale design in puce and pink on the rim with gilding. The dish is marked underneath with Herend-like shield mark with the letter T underneath and the monogram DF. to the side for his initals I guess so it might have been painted by the founder which would be very neat. There is also an impressed P underneath the mark which was used by Prague which produced the blank used in this case. The dish is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim of the outer edge. It is 0.75 inches tall and 10.25 inches from side to side at the widest spot. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
